  • Display Name: The name you choose to identify yourself within the platform.
  • Account Data: Your subscription tier (Free or Pro), account creation date, and account status.

2.2 Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information about how you interact with our web tools and services:

  • Tool Usage: Which tools you use, how frequently, and the features you access.
  • Browser Information: Browser type, version, language preference, and screen resolution.
  • Device Information: Operating system and device type.
  • Access Logs: IP address, pages visited, time and date of visits, and referring URLs.

3. Firebase Authentication

We use Firebase Authentication, provided by Google, to manage user sign-up, sign-in, and session management. Firebase Authentication processes and stores:

  • Email & Password: Your email address is stored by Firebase. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
  • Authentication Tokens: Session tokens are generated to keep you signed in securely across page loads.
  • Sign-In Metadata: Timestamps for account creation and last sign-in.

Security Note: Firebase Authentication uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your password is never visible to us or stored in readable form. For more details, see Firebase Privacy Policy.

4. Firestore Data Storage

We use Google Cloud Firestore to store your account data and content you create on our platform. This includes:

4.1 Meal Plans & Calorie History

  • Saved Meal Plans: Meal plan configurations, selected recipes, and dietary preferences you save to your account.
  • Calorie History: Food items you search, calorie calculations you perform, and history logs you choose to save.

4.2 Recipe Bookmarks

  • Bookmarked Recipes: Recipes you save or bookmark for later reference, including the recipe data and the date bookmarked.

4.3 Subscription Data

  • Plan Information: Your current subscription tier (Free or Pro), billing cycle, subscription start date, and renewal status.
  • Stripe Customer ID: A reference identifier linking your account to your Stripe payment profile (no payment card details are stored in Firestore).

Data Location: All Firestore data is stored on Google Cloud servers. Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest. For details, see Firestore Encryption Documentation.

5. Stripe Payment Processing

We use Stripe to process payments for Peachy Pro subscriptions. When you subscribe to a paid plan:

  • Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. Your credit card number, expiration date, and CVC are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
  • What we receive from Stripe: A Stripe Customer ID, subscription status, billing cycle dates, and payment success/failure status.
  • What we do NOT store: Credit card numbers, bank account details, or any raw payment card data.

PCI Compliance: We do not store, process, or transmit credit card data. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. For more information, see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

6. Google Cloud Text-to-Speech

Some of our web tools use Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to provide audio functionality. When you use text-to-speech features:

  • Text Input: The text you submit for audio conversion is sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API for processing.
  • Audio Output: The generated audio is returned to your browser for playback. We do not store the generated audio files.
  • Usage Logs: We may log the number of text-to-speech requests for rate limiting and usage monitoring purposes. The content of your text is not logged.

Google's Data Use: Google processes the text input to generate audio and may use this data in accordance with Google Cloud's Privacy Notice. We recommend reviewing their policies for full details.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website uses cookies and browser local storage for the following purposes:

7.1 Essential Cookies & Storage

  • Session Persistence: Firebase Authentication uses cookies and local storage to maintain your signed-in session so you do not need to log in on every page visit.
  • Authentication State: Tokens stored in local storage verify your identity across page loads.

7.2 Preference Storage

  • Banner Dismiss Preferences: When you dismiss informational banners or notices on the site, your preference is saved in local storage so the banner does not reappear.
  • UI Preferences: Settings such as selected billing period or tool configurations may be stored locally for convenience.

7.3 Third-Party Cookies

  • Firebase/Google: Firebase services may set cookies for authentication and analytics purposes.
  • Stripe: Stripe may set cookies during the payment checkout process for fraud prevention and session management.

Managing Cookies: You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may prevent you from signing in or using certain features of our website.

8. Third-Party APIs

Our web tools connect to the following third-party APIs to provide functionality. Each service has its own privacy policy:

8.1 WeatherAPI

  • Purpose: Provides weather data for the Peachy Weather tool.
  • Data Sent: Location queries (city name or coordinates) you enter to retrieve weather information.
  • Privacy Policy: weatherapi.com/privacy

8.2 USDA FoodData Central API

  • Purpose: Provides nutritional and calorie data for the Calorie Calculator tool.
  • Data Sent: Food search queries you enter to look up calorie and nutrition information.
  • Note: The USDA API is a public government service. Search queries are sent to USDA servers for processing. We also cache nutrition results in Firestore to reduce redundant API calls and improve performance.

  • Purpose: Provides exchange rate data for the Currency Converter tool.
  • Data Sent: No personal data is sent. We fetch publicly available exchange rate data from the ECB.
  • Privacy Policy: ecb.europa.eu/services/privacy

9. Data Security

9.1 Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information:

  • All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Firebase Authentication securely manages sign-in credentials with industry-standard hashing.
  • Firestore Security Rules restrict data access so users can only read and write their own data.
  • Stripe handles all payment processing in a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant environment.
  • Server-side Firebase Cloud Functions validate authentication tokens before processing requests.
No Method is 100% Secure: While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.

  • All saved meal plans, calorie history, recipe bookmarks, and other stored data are permanently removed from Firestore.
  • Your Firebase Authentication account is deleted.
  • If you have an active Stripe subscription, it will be cancelled. Stripe retains minimal records as required by financial regulations.
  • This action is irreversible and cannot be undone.
